This Hong Kong style dim sum restaurant offers a lot more than just small dim sum dishes. While the savory dishes are quite good, the restaurant's strong suit, as the name suggests, is in its dessert offerings.
These glutinous rice balls covered in syrup and sprinkled with a mixture of sugar, peanut powder, and sesames is a Cantonese specialty that I don't come across often.
The tofu pudding is the specialty of this restaurant and is the #1 reason for my visit. The tofu pudding is made fresh and served in a traditional wooden tub. The proper way to serve this dish is to skim the tofu (in thin layers) with the spatula into a bowl and then add syrup water. The flavor and texture of this freshly made tofu is simply amazing! Even though the tub can easily serve 4-6 people, I will order it even if I was just dining with one other person.
This may not be a bad place for afternoon tea with a few friends.
