This tiny little taco joint in the East Village makes fresh corn tortillas daily! While house made tortillas may be common place in Texas or California, it's pretty hard to find in NYC!
The tacos are quite small, but the ingredients are very fresh. I like that each taco comes with different toppings. I love the serrani-chili sauce on the on the shrimp taco.
The Gorgon is an off-the-menu item that can only be ordered during non-peak hours. It is a deep fried macron masa, filled with carne asada, topped with Serrano-chili sauce and cilantro. I absolutely love the Gorgon! It is packed with flavors, from the crispy shell to the tender beef and the garlicky sauce. Yum! Yum! And Yum!
Verdict: AA. Great place to grab a quick bite when the cravings hit.
